Inspired by Home
I first learned how to cook while talking to my mom on the phone from Manhattan. I had moved there from a small town in South Texas to pursue my Master’s degree, and it was the first time I was far from home and on my own.
Before long, I realized I couldn’t find some of the key ingredients my mom mentioned in her recipes—ingredients essential for making the meal truly taste like home.
I wanted to ensure no one else faced a similar challenge without support. That’s how the idea for Day-2-Day Goods was born—during a subway ride to a grocery store on the Upper West Side.
Fast forward to today, I’m living in Austin, TX, and still working to bring the flavors of home to those who need them.
